Man breaks through ceiling of Kingsbridge Dunkin Donuts, makes off with thousands

Police are searching for a man who managed to steal thousands of dollars after an elaborate break in to a west Bronx Dunkin Donuts

It happened inside of the Dunkin at Kingsbridge within the confines of the 50th Precinct. According to the NYPD, an unidentified man “forcibly entered through the ceiling” of the shop at about 5:23 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7.

Once inside, he took approximately $13,500 dollars from cash registers and a safe before fleeing to nearby southbound on I-87 in a maroon Honda Accord with a sunroof and tinted rear windows, according to police reports.
