On Thursday, September 3, the Pelham Parkway Neighborhood Association, the Albanian American Open Hand Association and the Pelham Parkway Van Nest Library handed out school supplies to local students. The event, which took place on Holland and Lydig avenues, included the giveaway of backpacks and school supplies such as notebooks, folders, pencils and other educational materials as well as snacks.
