The Latina 50 Plus honored women who best embody its motto of ‘motivate, mentor, coach and inspire’. Sponsored by AARP and Goya Foods, Inc., the Latina 50 Plus Luncheon formally recognized community leaders on Saturday, June 25 at Fordham University’s McGinley Ballroom. This year’s honorees included Art Award recipient Enid Cobeo; Community Service Award recipient Esperanza Martell; Education Award recipient Carmen Vega-Rivera; Medicine/Health Care Award recipient Sabina Perez; Law Award recipient Betty Lugo, Esq.; Literature Award recipient Dr. Myrna Nieves and Latina 50 Plus Life Time Achievement Award honoree Teresa Santiago, Comite Noviembre founding member.
