Police from the 43rd Precinct responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a Mazda 625 at Zerega and Westchester avenues on Thursday, July 24 at 10:45 a.m.
Upon arrival, police observed the victim with a broken leg and head injuries.
Law enforcement learned that the pedestrian had ran into the street against the traffic signal and was struck by the vehicle which remained at the scene.
No arrests or summonses were issued to the driver.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
