Councilman Mark Gjonaj served as co-host to Albanian Independence events both in his district and in the NYC City Council chambers. Many people took the opportunity to celebrate the Albanian heritage, along with their culture and successes. The festive celebratory events were attended by elected officials from around the boroughs.
