Summer was in full swing in Parkchester Saturday, August 2 at Summerfest — a family-friendly outdoor event at the Metropolitan Oval. Sponsored by Parkchester Condominiums and featuring the Bronx Council on the Arts and the Bronx Children’s Museum, the fest had many fun options for folks of all ages. The museum set up a kids-friendly hands-on exhibit about the natural flora of the Bronx River, for example. Vendors, raffles, face paintng, and even an inflatable slide, were provided to entertain the many children who attended.
