Residents of East Harlem, Mott Haven, Highbridge, Concourse, Longwood and Port Morris learned more about their 8th Council District candidates’ platforms and how they will address local issues in a candidates forum held on Thursday, August 31 at Fort Motte Baptist Church. Democratic candidates Tamika Mapp and Diana Ayala attended the debate, however Democratic candidates Israel Martinez and Robert Rodriguez, Republican Daby Carreras and Conservative candidate Linda Ortiz were not present.
