International flair was out in full force at a food festival on Allerton Avenue Sunday, August 24. Cuisine originating from Africa, Albania, Bangladesh, China, France, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, the Middle East and more was for sale on the strip. Hosting the event was Bronx chef and TV host Baron Ambrosia. And if the tasty eats weren’t enough, organizers hosted live performances on the gorgeous sunny afternoon. The event was co-sponsored by Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj, Senator Jeffery Klein, Councilman Ritchie Torres, MAS, Allerton Avenue Merchants Association, Allerton Homeowners & Tenants Association and the Bronx Chamber of Commerce.
