The Empire State VI returned to SUNY Maritime College with its 570 cadets from a summer sea term on Friday, August 11.

The trip was a vital part of the cadets’ education for careers in the commercial shipping industry and a requirement for them to earn their U.S. Coast Guard licenses.

The cadets traveled to Portugal, Italy, the Canary Islands and Spain this summer.
