The Department of Youth and Community Development Transition to High School Program is launching an author-led book discussion and writing project called ‘A Chapter in My Life.’

The program, which is designed to support and encourage creative writing among young people, kicked off with author J.R. Martinez at Lehman College on Thursday, December 18.

The project has the young people, with the help of a writing instructor Daniel Jose Older, composing a story about a significant experience in their own lives. — By Patrick Rocchio
