The Bronx Jewish Community Council and Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. hosted a pre-Chanukah celebration and Menorah lighting ceremony on Thursday, December 22. The celebration, in observance of the Jewish festival of lights, took place at the Riverdale YM-YWHA and featured a performance of the SAR Academy Elementary School. Traditional holiday food was served.
