Diaz Hosts Ramadan Iftar Dinner

In partnership with the Bronx’s Muslim community, Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. hosted the borough’s annual Ramadan Iftar Dinner on Thursday, May 23 at the Bronx County Building’s Veterans’ Memorial Hall.

This year’s honorees were Alhassan Susso, 2019 NYS Teacher of the Year; Saadatu Mamah-Trawill, community activist and leader of African Communities Together and Yahay Obeid, Community Board 11 Public Safety Committee chairman.

The event was co-sponsored by United Health Care Management and the Council of Peoples Organizations.
