Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. hosted his eighth annual LGBTQ and Allies Pride Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, June 27 at Billy’s Sports Bar. This year’s honorees included Audrey DeJesus, a longtime Bronx LGBT activist and leader; Jose Collazo, SAGE Center Bronx site manager; Dr. Douglas L. York, Union Community Health Center CEO and Krishna Stone, Gay Men’s Health Crisis Community Relations director. Paul G. Feinman, associate justice of the NYS Court of Appeals and highest openly gay Justice in NYS, was awarded the 2018 John Wade Award, which honors an LGBTQ individual for excellence in government service.
