More than 200 veterans and their families celebrated a Veterans Day Ceremony organized by Councilman Andy King, Riverbay Management Corporation and Co-op City American Legion Post 1871 on Friday, November 4.
The councilman saluted Hattie Harris, Co-op City American Legion Post 1871, Silas Stanford, Kenneth Nelson, George Tserpelis, Jerome L. Rice, Leroy R. Archible, commander Adeyemi LaCrown Oloruntoba, Anthony Rivieccio, Bernmanette Florez, Delores Cornelius and Juilan McDavid.
Faith Christian Academy student Desmond Thompson completed 22 push-ups at the ceremony.
