Calvary Hospital hosted its 19th consecutive session of its ‘Camp Compass’ bereavement camp for 60 children and teenagers, ages six to 18, from Monday, August 15 to Friday, August 19 at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn. The campers enjoyed several activities including swimming, fishing, basketball, constructing a two-level wooden house in memory of loved ones each camper lost, a visit from the Harlem Wizards basketball team, an obstacle course and dunk tank, a barbecue lunch, a dance party, visits by three therapy dogs, guitar lessons, pottery painting, jewelry making, scrapbooking and a visit from three Big Apple Circus clowns.
