Calvary Hospital recently honored Lucy Hernandez, a 49-year veteran, with the 2018 Meviar Smith Humanitarian Award. Hernandez began her nursing career as a nurse’s aide at Calvary Hospital before moving up the ranks to her current role as patient service manager She has served in multiple capacities at Calvary including as a staff nurse, patient care coordinator, senior staff development instructor, weekend relief supervisor and ambulatory care manager.
