BP Diaz Hosts Annual Chess Challenge

More than 200 students from all across the Bronx participated in the Bronx Borough President’s annual Chess Challenge on Tuesday, December 19 at the Bronx County Building’s Veterans’ Memorial Hall.

Co-hosted by Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.; AT&T and Chess in Schools, chess aficionados from grades three to eight tested their skills against one another and the winners in each division received awards at the event’s conclusion.
