Borough President’s Cup Little League Championship

Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.’s Office, the New York Yankees and AT&T co-hosted the ninth annual ‘Borough President’s Cup’ Little League Championship on Thursday, August 29 at Yankee Stadium. Deputy Borough President Marricka Scott-McFadden threw out the first pitch and opened the championship game between the Bronxchester Realtors and the Grand Slam Club that ended in a 5-5 tie after six innings. The teams finished the year as co-champions after Grand Slam Club came from behind, scoring two runs in the fifth inning, to tie the game 5-5 before it was called due to time constraints.
