Our heartiest congratulations to the commanding officer of the 49th Precinct, Keith Walton, who was promoted from captain to deputy inspector recently. Congratulations!
Milestone birthday celebrated
The McNerney family would like to wish a happy 105th birthday to their aunt Amelia McCann.
Her birthday was on Friday, October 7, and she celebrated the occasion with friends and family at Fratelli’s Restaurant on Saturday, October 8.
Amelia was born in East Harlem and raised there before moving to the borough.
She is known locally by many of her former pupils as a retired Holy Rosary School teacher and as a substitute teacher for other local schools.
