18th Annual Throggs Neck St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Irish eyes weren’t the only ones smiling at this year’s Throggs Neck St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Celebrating 18 years, the annual parade featured more Celtic-clad marchers and bands trekking down East Tremont Avenue than you could shake a shillelagh to this past Sunday, March 13.

Groups composed of local elected officials, schools, the FDNY, pipe and drum bands, community organizations and families representing this year’s honorary grand marshals journeyed down the parade route which sported a fresh green median and massive shamrock as thousands of Bronxites from all over the borough cheered from the sidelines.
