Collegiate High School for Math and Science is getting a boost – Project BOOST that is. Senator Jeff Klein has arranged $18,000 in Project BOOST enrichment program funding for the high school from the state. Klein was joined by Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj and Fredrick Nelson, CIMS principal, in making the announcement during the school’s annual spring art show on Wednesday, April 15. The school will be using the funds in a variety of ways, including tutoring and professional development services, a class trip to Yale Model UN, parent meetings and family nights, a trip for the school’s band to play at Madison Square Garden, as well as initiatives for honor roll students.
