Denim clad Bronxites geared up to combat sexual violence in an annual eye opening parade. The Violence Intervention Program hosted a ‘Denim Day’ march and resource fair on Wednesday, April 27 at Justice Sonia Sotomayor Community Center in Soundview. In an act of solidarity, re sidents joined VIP by wearing denim jeans to support domestic violence and sexual abuse survivors while protesting against erroneous and destructive misconceptions regarding sexual assault. Following the march around the 1000 Rosedale Avenue location, residents participated in a resource fair to learn how they can help bring an end to sexual violence.
