The Bronx Chamber of Commerce Foundation, in partnership with The Bronx Chamber of Commerce, hosted its annual Women of Distinction Luncheon on Friday, March 22, at the Villa Barone Manor.

Approaching its 20th year, the Women of Distinction Luncheon honored 21 outstanding women leaders for their contributions to the Bronx and New York City, culminating in a scholarship program to support high-performing college-bound female students from high schools throughout the Bronx.

“Our commitment to these young women’s futures wouldn’t be possible without those here who share our vision,” said Lisa Sorin, president of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce. “I’m sincerely grateful for the continued support of everyone present today, and I’m inspired by each new supporter who joins our network each March.”

Providing words of inspiration were this year’s keynote speaker, Yolanda Stancil, Verizon senior vice president of Wireline Network Field Operations and honoree, Wendy Garcia, NYPD deputy commissioner of equity and inclusion.
