Grab a blanket and bring the whole family for a movie showing under the stars. New York City Parks is hosting family-friendly movies across all five boroughs this summer. Join your community at Zimmerman Playground for a free viewing of “Trolls Band Together.”

Woodlawn’s LGBTQ History Trolley Tour

Woodlawn Cemetery

Celebrate Pride Month with a special trolley tour of the LGBTQ permanent residents who have made a lasting impact on American culture. The Woodlawn Cemetery and NYC LGBT Historic Sites are hosting the tour to share stories of love, loss and legacy. The tour will visit the final resting sites of Countee Cullen, J.C. Leyendecker, Elisabeth Marbury, John Sterling, George Platt Lynes and Patricia Cronin’s “Memorial to a Marriage,” the first marriage equality monument.

The Sana Sana Summer Market returns to El Barrio’s Artspace PS109 on Saturday. All are welcome to immerse themselves in a celebration of community, culture and healing. Over 25 vendors will offer a diverse array of local artisanal crafts, makers, holistic services and products that honor and celebrate culture. This year, the market will reintroduce wellness programming focused on healing through movement including a rejuvenating dance session, a workshop in chakra meditation, a Yoni steam bath and more.

Sinfonietta of Riverdale concert

The Sinfonietta of Riverdale returns to Wave Hill’s Armor Hall for special programming by renowned composers. All are welcome to enjoy a repertoire that extends from Bach to the present day. Founded in 2008, the Sinfonietta of Riverdale is distinctive in its ensemble’s size, large enough to perform chamber symphonies, while still on a small enough scale that features each musician to shine as a featured soloist.
