The United Federation of Teachers hosted a special screening, in English and Spanish, of the acclaimed documentary, ‘Backpack Full of Cash’ on Tuesday, June 11 at the UFT Bronx Learning Center. Narrated by Academy Award-winning actor Matt Damon, the documentary serves as a powerful tool to inform parents, teachers and community members about the reality of market-based education ‘reform,’ and its impact on American public schools and the 50 million students who rely on them.
