A massive tree fell onto a home at 3213 Layton Avenue on Tuesday, August 14 following a severe thunderstorm. No injuries were reported, however the home sustained minimal damage and a neighbor’s Jeep was crushed by the felled tree. According to a neighbor, the home’s elderly resident has no electricity, phone service or air conditioning. Con Edison workers are currently working on restoring power to the home after the tree was cleared from the area.
The area around 3213 Layton Avenue was sealed off by caution tape.
