Assemblyman Michael Benedetto and the Throggs Neck Merchants Association hosted the annual Throggs Neck Christmas Tree Lighting and Toy Giveaway on Sunday, December 6. The holiday tradition at DeRosa O’Boyle Triangle featured a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus and gifts for the community children which were donated by the merchants. St. Benedict’s chorus sang Christmas carols, and Lehman High School volunteers helped set up the event, which was coordinated by Assemblyman Benedetto’s office. Pictured below, Members of the St. Benedict’s Children’s Choir, led by Ann Myers performed during the event. Assemblyman Benedetto (c, back) thanked everyone who helped make the tree lighting a success.
