Montefiore Medical Center’s Wakefield Emergency Department hosted the hospital’s annual Teddy Bear Hospital where youngsters bring their ‘sick’ stuffed animals to the ED and walk through registration, triage, treatment and discharge. The event educates kids about health, and this year’s event focused on prevention, helping kids learn from an early age how to manage their health and avoid hospitalization.
