SUV Rallies Against Franco Shooting

Local community, clergy and residents joined Jacobi Medical Center’s violence interruption program Stand Up to Violence to rally against gun violence on Tuesday, April 11 at 761 E. 214th Street.

The rally was held in response to the fatal shooting of Margarita Franco, 26, on Sunday, April 2 at the same location.

Franco was discovered dead on arrival with a gunshot wound to the back of her head.

No arrests have been made and a motive has yet to be determined.
