A man snatched a gold chain from a teenager’s neck at the Whitlock Avenue Subway Station in the Bronx, and police are now asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect.
The incident occurred on Monday, Jan. 6, at approximately 7:55 p.m., according to the NYPD. The suspect approached a 16-year-old boy standing on the station’s mezzanine and ripped the chain from the victim’s neck before fleeing on foot to an unknown location. The victim was unharmed.
The NYPD has released footage of the suspect.
