As a law, it is protocol that each health care institution must have an emergency preparedness team and plan, as made mandatory by the NYS Department of Health. Triboro Center and NYS DOH answered this call by assembling an internal emergency team called the ‘Key Emergency Management Team’ on Wednesday, April 10. Each individual was assigned to various duties and responsibilities based upon their expertise and position at the institution, such as the Recreation Director’s job in emergency is the ‘Public Information Office’, one who relates information via traditional and social media.
