Friday, January 12 at 3:30 p.m. — Cops received a report of a robbery that happened inside a subway station at 3rd Avenue and East 149th Street. Someone punched a 53-year-old train conductor in the face as the train was leaving the station. He is described as an Hispanic man in his late teens or early twenties, weighing 170 pounds and with short, cropped hair. The conductor was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where she was in stable condition after the incident.

Saturday, January 27 at 3:00 a.m. — Cops received a report that two individuals shot a 44-year-old man, the victim, in the midst of a robbery. The victim was shot in his right hand. The two individuals are adult black men with thin builds and beards.

48 Precinct

Monday, January 29 at 7:40 p.m. — Cops were involved in a fatal shooting when they responded to a 911 report of a man stabbed at 2131 Prospect Avenue. As two officers arrived at East 181st Street and Prospect Avenue they discovered that one man was chasing another man with a combat-type knife in the street. An officer confronted the knife carrying man and told him repeatedly to drop his weapon. The subject then turned with the knife to the officers and they shot at the 52-year-old man, who later died later at St. Barnabas Hospital. The incident was captured on the body cameras the cops wore.

49 Precinct

Friday, December 22 at 8:30 p.m. –Police got a report of a robbery of a 55-year-old woman at Mace and Bronxwood avenues. The individual approached the woman at the intersection, grabbing her from behind. She was knocked to the ground and had her bag, with wallet containing four debit cards and a cellular phone, taken from her person. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
