New Author

Makeda Armorer-Wade, who lives in Kingbridge, recently published ‘Crohn’s Interrupted: Living Life Triumphantly.’

The book gives a real life account of her journey living with Chron’s Disease in order to educate and help those with this diagnosis.

Triathlon Participants

Several students at Cardinal Hayes High School and Bronx Academy of Letters are taking part in a new program that encourages youths of color to compete in triathlons.

The rigorous program, founded by the TriLatino Triathlon Club, offers a learning and physical fitness opportunity for young people in cycling, swimming and running, and trains them to take part in real triathlons, explained TriLatino’s Jerusha Ramos, who is the director of organization’s Youth Development Program.
