The Bronx Chamber of Commerce will salute all veterans at an upcoming ceremony.

The chamber will host its 10th Annual Veterans Recognition Luncheon on Thursday, November 16 from noon to 3 p.m.

The event will pay tribute to five veteran honorees: Viviana DeCohen, a U.S. Marine Corps corporal and a student mentor at Mercy College; Patrick Devine, a U.S. Marine Corps lance corporal who served in the Vietnam War; Nicholas Himidian Jr., U.S. Air Force sergeant; Sandra Rolon, U.S. Army sergeant and Anthony Salimbene, U.S. Coast Guard special agent in charge.

It will begin with a luncheon, which will be followed by an awards ceremony for the five chosen for special recognition.

“This annual recognition luncheon is our small way of paying tribute to the Bronx veterans who have served our nation and made great sacrifices in doing so,” said Nunzio Del Greco, Bronx Chamber president. “With this event, we thank you and we salute you”.

The event will take place at Maestro’s Caterers.

The luncheon is complementary for veterans and active military members with armed forces identification and proof of service.

For non-members, the price is $65 if tickets are purchased by Friday, November 10 and $85 after that date.

Tickets for members are $50 by Friday, November 10 and $80 if purchased later.

Contact Phil Cardone to purchase tickets and to R.S.V.P. He can be reached at (718) 828-3900 or phil@bronxchamber.org.

Tickets purchased at the door will cost $100, if they are available.

One of last year’s honorees, Jeremy Warneke, a veteran who serves as Community Board 11’s district manager and also hosts a writing workshop called the Craft of War Writing, called the event “a real honor.”

“There are only approximately 210,000 veterans in all of New York City,” said Warneke, adding “It’s clearly a small percentage, but it’s an important one, which I’m glad the chamber pays tribute to every year.”
