Police are investigating the mysterious death of a 17-year-old boy at the Whitlock Avenue IRT station. According to police, Andrew Garcia, 17, was discovered inside the station near Lowell Street early Tuesday morning. Garcia was found on the northbound IRT 6 train tracks on Tuesday, November 15 at 2 a.m. He had sustained burn marks to his torso and was declared dead on arrival by paramedics. His cause of death was not immediately determined and police are still investigating the incident. Police believe Garcia made contact with the third rail resulting in his death.
