40 Precinct

Thursday, September 29 at 9:55 p.m. — A PSA 7 Field Intelligence Officer, Sergeant Timothy Jaycox, developed information that led to what police are calling two ‘good arrests’ in the south Bronx. Police with a PSA 7 anti-crime team were able to observe two people, Bobby Hamlin and Jesus Rodriguez, with two semi-automatic weapons: a SKS 7.62 MM with 30-shot extended magazine and a Hesse AK47 assault rifle. They were seen near 852 Jackson Avenue and then arrested. Hamlin was charged with criminal possession of a machine gun, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm. Rodriguez was charged with criminal possession of a weapon 3 and criminal possession a firearm.

42 Precinct

Monday, September 19 at 10:00 a.m. — An attempted robbery was reported to police at a check cashing establishment at 1245 Southern Boulevard. A black man wearing a blue hooded sweater, gray pants and a dark baseball cap approached a 40-year-old employee of the business and passed her a note that stated he had a gun and he wanted money. When the woman hid under the counter, the would-be-thief fled the store.

Saturday, October 1 at 7:25 p.m. — Cops are investigating a double homicide at 1763 Fulton Avenue. Officers were called to the scene with a report of a gas leak at the location. When they entered, they found a 27 year-old man and a 50 year-old woman unresponsive with gun shot wounds to their heads. More cops responded and secured the scene. When EMS arrived, they declared both victims dead.

44 Precinct

Saturday, September 10 at 2:28 p.m.. — A grand larceny was reported at a residential building near the Grand Concourse. The victim, a 70-year-old man, entered the building and was approached from behind by someone who snatched multiple gold chains from his neck. The suspect, who fled the location, is described as a black man between the ages of 20- to 35-years-old and between five feet, seven inches and five feet, ten inches. He is said to have a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing black jeans, black top and a black du-rag.

50 Precinct

Sunday, October 2 at 4:19 a.m.. — Cops responded to the scene after a 911 call about a man assaulted at 5523 Broadway. They found a 36-year-old man with head trauma and had him transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was in critical condition shortly after the incident. Preliminary investigations indicate the suspects are Hispanic men and a single Hispanic woman.
