Approximately 50 public middle school students from the School District 9 visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Friday, July 8 to study the relationship between architecture, design and visual art in ancient to modern times. The students are part of the NYC Department of Design and Construction’s Middle School Summer Enrichment Program under DDC STEAM which was started in 2014 as a way to engage NYC youth in the architecture, construction and engineering industries.
