On Monday, May 30 at 12:30 p.m., a tractor trailer crashed through the safety railing of the Cross Bronx Expressway and was left dangling dangerously over the Sheridan Parkway. The truck was reportedly cut off by a sedan causing the truck driver to lose control and strike a white van. The truck driver and the van’s two occupants sustained minor injuries and were treated at St. Barnabas Hospital. Both expressways were closed for several hours before being reopened.
