The New York City Mission Society, which runs Power Academy summer camps, including one at P.S. 79, near the Grand Concourse, distributed pedometers to its campers. Each of the campers received pedometers on Tuesday, July 7 to track his or her movements and encourage activity during the summer break. Over 1,000 pedometers were distributed to the Power Academy summer camp children.
