Jasmine has shown so much courage, enthusiasm, and determination, which landed her the title of Miss New York Princess 2014, her mother, Jeanine Neal, stated.
As the Miss New York State Princess, Jasmine will be attending the national pageant for her age group at Walt Disney World during Thanksgiving week. The National Pageant Title of Miss America Princess, includes prizes and scholarships.
This will teach and encourage Jasmine to set and achieve high goals for the future, her mother wrote. In order to accomplish this, Jasmine needs sponsors either individually or from organizations to help her raise $1,200 for all the fees associated with the Nationals. As the sponsor you will be listed in the program book under Jasmine’s name as one of her sponsors or you can purchase advertising space for your company.

100th Birthday
A family in the northeast Bronx celebrated a milestone for their mother, Muriel Martin, who turned 100-years-old. A birthday celebration was arranged by her two daughters Elizabeth Limpone and Carolyn Martin at the Lobster Box restaurant on City Island on Saturday, September 13.
Muriel is the mother of 4, grandmother of 11, and great-grandmother of 17.
Born and raised in the borough, Muriel was married 68 years to another Bronxite, John. They met while walking their dogs.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 20 years at Misericordia Hospital in the Bronx, in addition to working as a secretary, sales clerk, and school-crossing guard.
Muriel’s hobbies were many, including ballroom dancing, and she won first prize in a ballroom dancing contest in Central Park in 1941. Her husband was her partner.
She is a lover of animals, and has had many pets, including dogs and cats.
Her daughter reports that when asked about her secret to longevity, she shrugs and said it was the Lord’s decision. But according to her daughter her family believes that it is because of love: love of God, love of her long-time soul mate, love of family and friends, and love of her animals.
