After a 25-year hiatus, the St. Helena Parish Carnival returned for a three-day celebration inside the church’s parking lot to the delight of Bronxites, young and old. Held on Friday, June 24; Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26, the celebration featured carnival rides and games presented by McDaniel Brothers Show, the same company that hosted the last carnival 25 years ago. Fifteen raffle prizes including $333 in cash, a signed canvas print of the Sacred Heart once hung above the parish’s altar at Easter and a 14K yellow gold bracelet were raffled off.

Jace Gonzalez was excited to win a goldfish at the carnival.
