St. Barnabas High School honored Councilman Mark Gjonaj and senior court clerk Edit Shreli, St. Barnabas High School Class of 2002 alumna, on Monday, December 10 for their commitment and support of the Albanian community at a National Albanian Independence Day special assembly.

Councilman Gjonaj is the first Albanian-American elected in NYC and NYS.
The students gave a crowd pleasing performance of traditional Albanian dances.

Shkreli serves as an associate court clerk to the Supreme Court justice Eddie J. McShan.
