Vishnu Mandir Hindu Temple congregants, the Bharati Dance Academy and Hindus from the Soundview community celebrated Holi the Festival of Colors, a vibrant occasion welcoming the spring season, at 1216 Noble Avenue on Sunday, March 27. Holi or ‘Phagwah’ as it is often referred, is a Hindu celebration that involves the sprinkling of ‘gulal’, multicolored powder or water, on each other to symbolize the breaking down of all barriers of discrimination so everyone looks the same.
