On the eve of Thanksgiving, J&S Caring Food Pantry volunteers, along with the assistance of the 41st Precinct Auxiliary, Patrol Borough Bronx and Parkchester Department of Public Safety, cooked delicacies for families at the Morris Help Shelter. The sixth annual food giveaway, which was organized by J&S Caring Food Pantry founders Jennifer Garib and Savitri McCrea, included dishes such as fried rice, Mac n’ Cheese, roasted chicken and turkey, homemade bagel stuffing, sauteed mixed vegetables, baked sweet potato, pastries and Guyanese-style rice and beans. A short run was held at midnight following the giveaway.
