Shoreline Fire In Pelham Bay Park

Firefighters battled a shoreline fire in Pelham Bay Park last week. According to the FDNY, three engines, two trucks, two marine units and 25 firefighters responded to a rubbish and wood fire on Wednesday, May 10 at 5 p.m. at Pelham Bay Park’s waterway pass the dog run on 1470 Outlook Avenue. It took 40 minutes for the fire to be extinguished by the marine unit as the FDNY could not get a truck to the shoreline. No injuries were reported from the incident.
