School District 9 held an ‘Art Extravaganza’ at J.H.S. 145, the Arturo Toscanini Junior High School, in Morrisania on Saturday, June 13. Each of 51 schools in District 9 contributed three to five pieces of artwork for the program. There were also several performances by the M.S. 22 Fashion Revolution Crew, which presented a civic engagement pice utilizing direct action through wearable art that promotes public awareness on gun violence, and the College Avenue Campus Wildcats.
