After an intense and selective interview process, Preston High School graduate Briana Cherubino ’24 traveled to Berlin, Germany to serve as the Student Emcee for the 2024 EF Global Leadership Summit, a leadership conference for youth to hear from world-renowned keynote speakers, work with local and global experts, and collaborate with peers in small international teams.
After attending the EF Global Leadership Summit last summer with the Preston Scholars Program thanks to a generous donor, Cherubino knew that she wanted to be next year’s emcee. She worked closely with Eugenia Wolovich (’10) and Craig Youngren on her application and stood out in the worldwide applicants pool.
This year’s theme was “The Impact of Water on Society” and participants from all over the world explored ways to harness its full potential. Upon arriving in Berlin, she emceed the three-day event in front of 2,000 people from around the world.
