Leake & Watts Biondi Elementary School and the national Parent-Child Home Program hosted an Earth Day event for pre-schoolers on Saturday, April 18. Kids learned how to plant seeds, in addition to participating in other fun crafts. Each child took home a gently used book. Representatives from the New York Public Library and the Leake & Watts Family Resource Center were on hand to help families apply for library cards and learn about other community resources, as well as giving them a chance to register for pre-k.
