Partnership for Parks celebrated its fourth annual ‘It’s My Park’ Awards Reception on Wednesday, March inside the Prince George Ballroom in Manhattan to recognize NYC park volunteers who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to their local parks through service, advocacy and collaboration. This year’s Golden Trowel Award for the Bronx was presented to BronxWorks and Healthy and Liveable Mott Haven Partnership with leadership by BronxWorks’ Kimberly Wong. Mullaly Bikepark, led by Brendan Vail, were the proud recipients of the Bronx’s Community Parks Initiative Award. Loving the Bronx, led by Nilka Martell, received the Tim Tompkins Leadership Award for serving as an inspirational role model for NYC park volunteers and demonstrating the leadership and vision of Partnerships for Parks’ founder, Tom Tompkins.
