The New York Restoration Project recently announced the planting of its millionth tree in NYC as part of its MillionTreesNYC initiative. The planting of the millionth tree, which took place at Joyce Kilmer Park on Friday, November 20, made NYC the first and only city in the world to have reached this milestone. Mayor de Blasio, former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr., Congressman Jose Serrano and NYRP founder Bette Midler, were all in attendance.
